By utilizing Prepar3D, Lockheed Martin is building Immersive Training Device (ITD) systems with substantial training capabilities. Systems that once were limited to a desktop are now fully immersive experiences with real controls and 360 degrees of out-the-window visuals by incorporating Extended Reality (XR). The devices provide a virtual cockpit and synthetic environment for training pilots to fly by merging the real-world environment with a computer-generated one. Prepar3D v5.4 Now Available

Prepar3D v5.4 (5.4.9.28482) is now available and can be downloaded immediately from the Purchased Downloads section of the website. The Prepar3D v5.4 update includes a large number of performance, stability, and usability improvements across the entire platform. General application performance has been improved through better background thread performance. The GPS and flight planning systems have been updated offering greater control and flexibility for add-on developers. Various VR fixes and improvements make VR setup and calibration easier and more user friendly. Prepar3D to Attend FlightSimExpo in Houston This June

Flight Simulation Association’s annual FlightSimExpo is scheduled for June 23-25, 2023 in Houston. This year, the three-day event features a series of product reveals at a hotel on Friday, June 23, followed by the usual exhibits and seminars at the Lone Star Flight Museum on June 24-25. The Prepar3D team will be joining top hardware and software developers at the show, including Honeycomb Aviation, PMDG, TFDi Design, Thrustmaster, VATSIM, and many more.
